It is a pleasure to welcome you to the national conference on Gujarat Technological University sponsored "Advances in Drug Delivery Technologies" to be held on 24th and 25th March, 2012 supported by Baroda College of Pharmacy and Parul Institute of Pharmacy, Baroda. This is the first conference sponsored by the state technical university and we are proud to host the same. Over the past decade delivery systems have gained unprecedented importance and is the future of the pharmaceutical industries. With the new drugs not making successful inroads, the older molecules are to be re engineered to be delivered more and more effectively.
With this view, speakers from both industry and academia have been invited to deliver and interact with the delegates on the theme.
The successful organization of the conference has required the talents, dedication and time of many volunteers and strong support from sponsors.
Special gratitude and appreciation is due the various speakers and dignitaries primarily responsible for the content of the technical program.
We hope that you will find the symposium both enjoyable and valuable, and also enjoy the architectural, cultural and natural beauty of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
